For churches and nonprofits
Custom apps and websites for churches and nonprofits.
Ebenstone builds what a church office or ministry team depends on: care requests, sign-ups, schedules, records and the church’s website. Your people sign in with the Planning Center account they already have.
Why churches call
The problems that usually start the conversation
Requests arrive by phone, text, email and conversation.
Nobody can see all of them in one list.
A ministry depends on one person’s memory.
When that person is away, things are missed.
Planning Center has your people, but not this job.
The process you need lives in a spreadsheet beside it.
The tools you tried were made for companies.
A volunteer who opens it twice a year can’t find their way around.
What you get
What Ebenstone builds into a church’s software
It works with Planning Center.
People sign in with their Planning Center account and are looked up from your existing records. There is nothing new to remember and nothing for the office to reset.
It works on a volunteer’s own phone.
Screens are built for someone who opens the app a few times a year, often with poor signal.
Volunteers see only what they’re assigned.
A volunteer sees the people they’ve been asked to serve. They never get your member database.
The words on the screen are your ministry’s own.
Every screen and email uses the terms your team already uses, so nobody has to learn software language to do ministry.
In writing, when your board needs it.
The scope, the cost, a start date and a finish date, set out plainly enough to hand to a treasurer.
One person to call.
The person in your first meeting designs it, builds it and answers when something needs to change.
A church project
In use 18 days after the first conversation.
Hospital visits, home visits and the follow-up after them, run from one app that works with the church’s Planning Center account.
Read the case study- First conversation
- Listening, then a written design
- The whole process worked
- The pastor and a colleague started using it
Sensitive information
What your people write stays with your church.
The tools Ebenstone uses to look after your app show counts, such as how many people signed in this week. They never show what your people wrote. Your church owns everything its people put into the app.
How Ebenstone handles your dataQuestions
What churches ask first
Does it replace Planning Center?
No. It is built to work with it. Planning Center stays the record of your people, and the new app handles the work Planning Center doesn’t.
What does it cost?
Each project is priced on its own, once I understand what you need. Ebenstone doesn’t publish a starting price, because a sign-up page and a system your whole office uses are very different purchases.
How long does it take?
Most projects take weeks, and the finish date is written into the agreement. CCO Care was in use 18 days after the first conversation.
We aren’t a church. Do you work with other nonprofits?
Yes. The same approach fits any organization that runs on a small staff and a lot of volunteers.
Tell me what your church is trying to keep track of.
And what you’re using now. If software isn’t the right answer, I’ll say so.
